[Articles] Cheryl And Ashley Divorce In Less Then A Minute

Cheryl Cole has finally divorced her cheating footballer husband.
The X Factor star's turbulent four-year marriage to Chelsea and England star Ashley was dissolved in less than 60 seconds this morning.

A judge accepted that their relationship had broken down because of the Chelsea footballer's 'unreasonable behaviour'.

But while the divorce is understandably distressing, it's not all bad news for Cheryl.

Her close friend Simon Cowell has spoken out in support of the star, saying she is now 'in a better place mentally'.

In High Court papers, Cheryl claimed Cole was still acting unreasonably, leading to suggestions that the pair are still battling over how to split their housing and assets.
District Judge Chris Simmonds granted the Girls Aloud singer, 27, a decree nisi.

The Girls Aloud singer has chosen the song as its lyrics relate to her recent battle with malaria, which saw her spend time in intensive care earlier this year following a holiday in Tanzania.

A video for the single, which is tipped to be a number one hit in the charts, is due to be filmed within the next week, before it is then given its first airing on Radio 1.

Speaking to the Daily Star Sunday, a source said that the song was written before Cole contracted malaria, however, the lyrics tie in with her near-death experience.

"It is similar to the way Fight For This Love related to her marriage drama. A release date hasn't been confirmed for the single but there's talk Cheryl could perform on the second live show after Joe McElderry. It's a huge comeback track and Cheryl absolutely loves it," the source added.

[Articles] Simon Tells Derek: 'Cheryl Doesn't Need Him'

Cheryl is understood to be enjoying spending time with the dancer in Los Angeles, as she recovers from malaria and finalises her divorce from Ashley.

According to the Mirror, Simon is concerned about his fellow X Factor judge and believes she would be making a mistake if she embarked on another relationship now, instead of focusing on her career.

He apparently told Derek exactly what he thinks after inviting the Dancing With The Stars winner to dinner at his mansion.

A friend of the dancer's said: "During the dinner Simon told Derek, 'It's nothing personal, I just don't think Cheryl should be spending so much time with you so soon after her marriage breakup'."

The meeting was friendly and Derek accepted that Simon has Cheryl's best interests at heart, but the dancer was unable to change the talent show supremo's view and is now concerned she may be influenced by him.

"Derek told me Cheryl respects Simon more than anyone else and she knows it is down to him that she is where she is today," the source added.
"She thinks he is wise and emotionally intelligent, which is why Derek is so scared that Simon's opinion could hurt them in the long run."

Many of Cheryl's other friends have said they think her relationship with Derek is good for her, although the nature of their relationship is still not clear.

Cheryl Cole is to release a survival single to celebrate beating the deadly condition malaria.

Geordie beauty Cheryl Cole is to show she's still a fighter by releasing a survival comeback tune.

The pop star's latest is said to be named Promise This because of its lyrics, which relate to her malaria scare. According to reports, the stunner will perform the new single on X Factor in October and will be filming the video in LA any day now.

A source has said: "Cheryl's comeback single is called Promise This.

"It was actually written months ago and although it's not directly talking about her illness there is a strange lyrical twist that ironically relates to her recent near-death experience."

After a horrible few months, Cheryl Cole is on the mend. The star who is set to return to The X Factor soon has been spotted relaxing with rumoured beau Derek Hough in LA recently.

Whilst we wonder whether the pair are a couple, New! have reported that Cheryl wants things between her and Derek to get serious, because she would like a baby with him.

It is thought that Cheryl's illness has made her think about how much she wants to be a mum and how Derek would make a perfect dad.

A source revealed: “When Cheryl was cooped up at home after her illness, she realised she isn't getting any younger and wants to be a mum sooner rather than later.

“She said Derek is the perfect guy, so it goes without saying she thinks he would make an amazing dad.”

Now a mini Cheryl would be cute!

Due, to the release of Cheryl's autobiography Through My Eyes C-Cole, are going to start a competition. There will be one winner, and they will be picked at random on the 1st October.
